Curious if I'm psychic? Well, let me set the record straight—ABSOLUTELY NOT! In fact, my comical journey into the world of Tarot reading proves quite the opposite.

It all began when I got roped into a Tarot and divination class, and I thought, "Hey, this could be great for my empathic, hands-on-learning son!" So, I tagged along, half-listening, half-wondering what on earth I was doing there. To be honest, it felt about as intuitive as assembling a spaceship blindfolded.

Now, picture this: I'm in my 50s, and the idea of memorizing the cryptic meanings of 78 Tarot cards was like trying to climb Mount Everest in flip-flops. And let's not forget the instructor, who was visibly miffed by my lack of enthusiasm and my stubborn belief that the Tarot cards were meant for my son, not me.

But then, in the next class, a plot twist! I was told that Tarot was MY tool, and I was already a reader. I whined about how the cards made me doubt myself (good old ego at work). She gave me a simple assignment: sleep with the decks. I rolled my eyes like a rebellious teenager but promised to give it a whirl.

Now, as an intuitive-empath, I'm no stranger to sensing unseen beings, especially when it's dark and quiet. So, with the Rider Waite deck under my pillow, I heard faint whispers in my left ear all night. Yep, the Tarot cards were talking!

The following night, I tucked in with the Angel Tarot deck, and this time, there were high-pitched whispers all night—again, right in my left ear. It was like a ghostly slumber party!

Then came the big moment—our class laid out an 18-card spread, and to my surprise, the images wove together into a story that helped me understand and remember the meanings of each beautiful card.

Learning Tarot was a game-changer in my life. Ego had fooled me into thinking that reading Tarot wasn't in my spiritual toolkit. But guess what? I AM a Tarot reader. I DO Tarot readings. And I've become a die-hard fan of the Rider Waite deck above all others!

I owe a massive debt of gratitude to my Tarot teacher and mentor, Vjananda, who unlocked a hidden gift I never knew I had. It just goes to show, life has some pretty surprising twists in store for us. And that's the magic of Tarot—it hands us information, insights, and choices we might otherwise miss.
